The Real Combi-Pack

What is it

Feminist Abotech has developed a new 1+8 combipack (mifepristone + misoprostol) in direct response to what users consistently report they need to safely self-manage their abortions. 
This updated formulation represents a significant shift toward user-led design in abortion care and addresses practical realities that standard pharmaceutical packaging has long ignored.
It represents a new generation of feminist abortion technologies designed around self-management, privacy, autonomy, affordability and user control, rather than institutional or market convenience.

Safety

Clinically Aligned with Real-World Use: Includes additional misoprostol tablets to reflect how abortion is actually managed at home, recognizing that many people require or choose to use more misoprostol than in the conventional 1+4 regimen. The additional dose increases the likelihood of complete abortion, reduces uncertainty about completion, and decreases unnecessary referrals for clinical or surgical care when safe completion can be achieved with additional pills. This approach, including the management of incomplete abortion with extra misoprostol, is fully aligned with the World Health Organization’s Abortion Care Guideline (2022).
